Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate , Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.34% to hit a new 3-months high.

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Braskem SA (BVMF: BRKM5 ), which rose 9.68% or 1.04 points to trade at 11.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Brava Energia SA (BVMF: BRAV3 ) added 6.63% or 1.45 points to end at 23.33 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF: VAMO3 ) was up 6.25% or 0.31 points to 5.27 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Automob Participações SA (BVMF: AMOB3 ), which fell 7.41% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.25 at the close. Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF: BEEF3 ) declined 3.18% or 0.19 points to end at 5.79 and JBS SA (BVMF: JBSS3 ) was down 2.70% or 1.10 points to 39.64.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 486 to 444 and 58 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.33% to 30.22.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.03% or 0.79 to $3,055.09 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.29% or 0.89 to hit $69.89 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract fell 1.62% or 6.45 to trade at $392.10 .

USD/BRL was up 0.63% to 5.73, while EUR/BRL rose 0.31% to 6.17.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 104.22.
