Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials , Telecoms and Public Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Marcopolo SA (BVMF: POMO4 ), which rose 7.04% or 0.42 points to trade at 6.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF: RADL3 ) added 6.34% or 1.36 points to end at 22.80 and CCR SA (BVMF: CCRO3 ) was up 4.36% or 0.52 points to 12.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF: AZUL4 ), which fell 7.72% or 0.26 points to trade at 3.11 at the close. Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF: PCAR3 ) declined 6.82% or 0.27 points to end at 3.69 and Sao Martinho SA (BVMF: SMTO3 ) was down 6.23% or 1.25 points to 18.81.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 572 to 339 and 70 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.91% to 28.63.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.60% or 19.42 to $3,245.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $61.50 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract rose 2.15% or 7.75 to trade at $368.15 .
USD/BRL was up 0.55% to 5.89, while EUR/BRL fell 0.20% to 6.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 99.87.
